Exodus International is a religious association located in Orlando (Florida) that is dedicated to "guide for individuals and families affected by homosexuality." The controversy arose when the organization developed an application to expand this message through the AppStore.
The emergence of this application accepted by Apple, a company that has supported the LGBT cause more than one occasion, raised a stir among gay activists, who immediately sent a public plea to Apple for the withdrawal of his store. Three days later, Apple wrote to the developers informing them that the application had been withdrawn "for damaging a large number of people."
In iPhone news we have managed to interview Jeff Buchanan, in charge of spreading the message among students. This interview is approached from an objective point of view and in depth with the reaction that has led to the withdrawal of the application in this religious group and what is the intent of a message, they said, "not hate" but that includes homophobic tone as the LGBT.

JB There is nothing about the message of Exodus International Damaging That Could Be Considered. Our message is to Mobilize the Body of Christ to Minister Grace and Truth to the World Impact by homosexuality. PO Clarify on your website You That You Do Not pretend to cure homosexuality. How do you think young people Develop this sexual orientation?
JB There Are Many Things That Into factor same-sex orientation and There is no formula. We do Recognize a number of Contributing Factors, One Being The Impact of Environmental Influences in people's lives. I Know That This Was a Significant Influence in Struggle with my own homosexuality. For me, I Profound Experience to disconnect with my father and my own gender Which Contributed Greatly to my Development of same-sex attractions. I HAD to come to the Decisions That I Would Live My Life Through the filter of my Faith and Not the filter of my sexuality. As a result, God Began to work Transforming Within Completely me and I am content with my life today.

JB I believe we all Have a Responsibility to Respond to the Issues surrounding homosexuality in Our culture today. Should we always show love and compassion to Individuals, family, and friends Who Have Been Affected by the issue. So many people have questions and Are looking for answers. The Church has a Responsibility to Reach Those Struggling With These questions. The Church Must Also display the love and compassion of Christ to all Within the GLBT community. So many Have A false perception of the Church and to experience an authentic Need Faith. While we do Not compromise on the truth of Scripture, we must-Convey the love of Christ to all.
Obviously is Exodus International PO Adapting to new technologies. The decision of Creating an app for the iPhone WAS to Reach more people or to get access to a specific target?
JB Our desire is to Reach a Broad Demographic and make Our message more accessible to today's culture. We Feel That adaptation to today's technology is A Necessary and wise ministry strategy.
PO Apple rated the app for kids over 4 +. Do you Agree with this rating? Should Parents interact with this app and Their Kids?
JB Yes, we believe the initial rating Apple Provided That WAS accurate. Parents Believe That We Should Always Be Involved responsibly when it comes to Children and today's technology. The application server as a tool for information. There Was a section Entitled "Responding to Bullying" Designed to Educate Parents and students on how to Respond to the Issues of bullying.
