To vote for an award candidates, so far, the major Hollywood organizations sent to the jurors DVD with the material to qualify (series, commercials, films). But that will be "a thing of the past" by the agreement reached between iTunes and FOX for voting on the awards from the Screen Actors Guild organization.
iTunes will host all episodes of series and movies that members of the Screen Actors Guild must qualify before the awards ceremony. They will receive exclusive promotional codes that can be used to display the content through their computer, Apple TV or portable device.
Once again, Apple made a deal that ranks as one of the most innovative companies.
