In recent weeks there has been much discussion of the possible presence of the iPad Retina Display 2 , but according to an analyst Rom Mainelli it will not.
I think the Digitimes story Probably got the resolution right, But The iPad version wrong, "Mainelli Told PCWorld via email. "Our sources say Apple has Requested That work begin on Manufacturers With That resolution displays for the iPad 3."
"I do not believe anybody is ready to produce in volumes That resolution at this point. And Apple is going to require huge volumes for the iPad 2, "I added.
Mainelli said that Apple is already working on Retinal Display screens with a resolution of 2048 × 1536, but these are only available in the future iPad 3, which will be released throughout 2012.
If we trust the words of this man, the iPad 2 has the same screen as the iPad today. Which is quite logical, Retina Display consumes a lot of (very much) battery. Until we solve that ...
