The creators of the app to respond to Apple VLC

applidium vlc iphone1 Los creadores de la app de VLC responden a Apple

Yesterday I informed you that the VLC Media Player application had been removed by Apple's iTunes Store. This wonderful application will allow users to play any video on our iPhones. This was the explanation of VLC Media team:

To our surprise, last Friday received an email from Apple saying that they regretted that the dispute between the two sides could not be resolved amicably. "That's why we removed the application from iTunes Store."

Apparently, the application violated the rights of copyright to a public license that was subject VLC. Rémi Denis-Courmont, an important character in Nokia, is behind this whole issue and claimed that Apple would be a possible infringement of intellectual property.

The VLC Media Player team considers it an attack on open source software and will fight for the application becomes available to millions of people in iTunes Store.
