In addition to launching the final version of iOS 6.1 , Apple has issued a press release in which there are some facts and figures relating to the iOS ecosystem.
As we read it, Philip Schiller, said that iOS 6 is the most advanced mobile operating system in the world and in just five months have made nearly 300 million devices from iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, you have installed. With this data, iOS 6 becomes the most popular version of all that they have released to date.
In addition to this data, Apple also announced that the App Store has over 800,000 applications, of which 300,000 have been designed specifically for the iPad. Overall, users have downloaded 40 billion apps, making developers earn about seven billion dollars.
In the social section, users have uploaded nine billion photos via Photo Stream and have sent 450 billion messages through IMessages.
No doubt we are facing huge numbers but is it so popular iOS 6 as it looks? Sales of iPhones and iPads have rocketed so the park iOS devices are lasting longer than ever. Because of this, it stands to reason that the adoption rate is also the highest of all.
