Mikael Hed, CEO of the successful company Rovio, well-known creator of "Angry Birds", has shed some statements that have been sitting like a bucket of cold water in the entertainment industry. According to Hed, piracy is not necessarily always a bad thing, it's "help to make popular the game."
Hed is important to create a solid fan base grows and ever decreasing piracy and "help grow the business through promotion." But piracy is also related to the sale of merchandise not authorized by Rovio, yet Mikael Hed sees it as a good thing:
"Rovio has problems of piracy, not only in their applications, but also in the products that customers consume. There are tons of merchandising products out there, especially in Asia, which have not been authorized by us. "
The truth is that despite piracy, Angry Birds was one of the best-selling games in 2011 and number 1 in several countries.
