iFlow Reader, an independent application iOS offering e-books, is one of the first companies that have had to close down due to the strong policies of Apple. In these cases, the Cupertino company takes 30% of each sale, while the editor is left with the remaining 70%. This high percentage that Apple benefits greatly, leaving little profit margin to small companies like iFlow Reader.

The creators of the application, having invested more than a million dollars a year and a half have been forced to close because with that revenue sharing is untenable to continue with the business. This has led them to have to inform their customers they can no longer enjoy their services.

Apple is making it impossible to become a monopoly in the e-book industry.
