A leader in charge of developing the VLC player for the iPhone has sent an official notification to Apple complaining that the company violated rules of public license (GNU General Public License in the U.S.). That's because Apple does not accept applications in AppStore that would promote free distribution of copyrighted content (TV shows, movies, music, etc). This means that VLC Media Player would be violating copyright if the contents of a iPhone user should be shared with another user.
As a result, the sharing of this application may result in deletion of the player Apple Store in the coming days. However, this same application has been available for the iPad for weeks and has not had any problems with the Terms and Conditions of the AppStore.
