Google continues to improve gmail interface for users who access mail through the Safari Mobile. From the Google Mobile Blog we read:
First, the movement is now more agile travel speed reflects the speed of the gesture you make on the screen. This is useful for long conversations where you have to move faster to reach a particular point.
Second, the toolbars remain fixed on the screen while we travel. In this way we can access the toolbar from anywhere on the page which makes navigating through the application.
They are also making several changes to the aesthetic level to suit the user feedback so if you want to contribute your two cents, you can do this by typing in the Google forum.
At the moment these enhancements are only available for U.S. users accessing from an iPod Touch or iPhone with iOS4.
