Tim Cook is third on the list of 'Person of the Year' TIME

tim cook Tim Cook queda tercero en la lista de Persona del Año de TIME

This week we told in iPhone News that Tim Cook had been nominated for Person of the Year, a title that TIME magazine awarded every year to a figure that was relevant during the last twelve months. And as we advanced, Cook had little chance of winning the title but has been well positioned in third place.

It appeared that Malala Yousafzai, the 15-year Pakistani girl shot by the Taliban to reclaim education for women, would be the person selected by the editors of the magazine. However, the U.S. president, Barack Obama, has been finally selected as Person of the Year. Malala Yousafzai has been in second place.

TIME magazine has highlighted how the transition took power after retiring in Apple Steve Jobs and his passing. Jobs chose a successor within the company, something he insisted, preferring someone who knew what he was internally funded and built, to an outsider come with complete ignorance of the policies of Apple. Tim Cook has proved a perfect successor.

The day Jobs died, Apple shares were around $ 350 and with Cook's share price has reached $ 700, making Apple the most valuable company in history. Hence the recognition from the editors of TIME.
