On Friday we discussed how certain developers of applications for the iPhone were receiving emails of threats from a company that claimed to own the patent "purchase or upgrade button located within an application." Finally revealed the name of the company behind this whole affair: Lodsys. Within days, Lodsys has earned the enmity in much of the network by their intentions to withdraw tens of programmers to incorporate this option into their applications.
To bad criticism, insults and even death threats, Lodsys has published a statement in which he defends his actions: "We are a company that we claim that we simply pay for what you've created. That's how business works: you are entitled to get your benefits. " Also note that "the death threats we received does not cool".
