The iPhone 4 already part of the Guinness Book of Records and not by the phone function but as a portable video game system has sold faster during their first day.
When the iPhone was launched in April on 24 June 2010 the figure was able to sell 1.5 million units. To give you an idea, the Nintendo DS stood at 500,000 units sold during a week in 2004. Is it fair to compare a smartphone with a games console? Judging by this award seems to be yes but I think they're completely different products for many games we have for the iPhone.
On the other hand, the App Store has also received the corresponding award for being the most popular applications market, which has gotten more downloads and host as many games (around 37,000 in total).
