Intel may be the manufacturer of next generation processors for the iPhone A6 6 (as 5 have the same processor as the iPad2). Samsung is currently the A5 that makes the chip that is expected to have the next model of iPhone.
A more than likely on the basis of how well that worked for both when the Mac went from Power PC to Intel and how badly Apple and Samsung are carried past the intersection of complaints we've experienced.
