It was possible that the exploit Apple gourd Limera1n (needed for jailbreak) in this model "new" iPhone, like the iPad 2 , or do something similar to what has already happened with the new 3G iPhones bootrom old. All indications are that the white iPhone is just a cosmetic change (and not internal), because according to @ iH8sn0w these devices are completely "Jailbreak" with current tools.
Surely, in the absence of such a short time for the next generation iOS, the Cupertino company have wanted to save costs and concentrate on what's ahead.
