Since 2006, Microsoft had been trying to break into the market with its Zune player, but the iPod's dominance has led him to leave, Apple has a 77% market share.
The Zune is a great player with an excellent display (OLED), a good interface and even HD digital radio. Steve Ballmer said in 2006 "We can defeat them, but will not be easy", but apparently could not.
Microsoft recently partnered with Nokia to create mobile Phone with Windows 7, which shares many features with the Zune operating system and hardware that Microsoft leaves the player, but the software continues with its new mobile operating system.
