Confirmed: 'Eyes Free' hit driving in early 2013

This year, during the celebration of Apple's WWDC, the company showed us the 'Eyes Free' Siri integration with new car models in order to perform tasks on our iPhones without having to look away from the road. Indeed, General Motors is the first company to integrate this button 'Eyes Free' at the wheel of their new vehicles: the Sonic LTZ and Chevrolet Spark and RS 1LT and 2LT.

The manufacturer has announced this week at the Car Show held in Los Angeles, these models will go on sale in early 2013. So, General Motors anticipates other luxury brands like Mercedes and BMW cars cheaper.

With the integration of Siri, our iPhones 4s and iOS 5 with 6 iPhones can connect automatically to car bluetooth (via GM's MyLink Radio system, in the case of General Motors). Thus, when you press the button on the steering wheel Eyes Free, anyone can call, write or read messages, calendar appointments point and ask questions to Siri.

At no time will turn the phone display to avoid driver distraction. General Motors has considered this as a key tool for driver safety. For this reason has decided to integrate it into their new cars.
