As you recall, Apple, at the beginning of iCloud, gave the then already were active users of MobileMe extra free storage to ease the transition of these users to iCloud.
This extra storage would last a year and the completion date was scheduled for the end of September this year. However, Apple has decided to extend this plus another year, that is, until September 2013.
