During an event held in Japan Sony has introduced two new tablet equipped with Honeycomb: S1 and S2. With them, the Japanese giant tries to steal a piece of cake to Apple and its iPad .
We talked about it a couple of months ago but now that the news has been confirmed.
To differentiate from the rest of tablet using Honeycomb 3.0 Android operating system, Sony has placed strong emphasis on design: while the S1 is a tablet with a screen of 9.4 inches and is characterized by a particular form on the back that make it more manageable, the S2 is a device consisting of two 5.5-inch screen (like the Nintendo DS) to be compatible with some games for PlayStation.
In addition, the S1 will incorporate a Tegra processor 2, a 3G module and an infrared transmitter to control all Sony Bravia TVs ...

The two new Sony tablet hit the market next autumn but still no information on prices ... although I imagine that will not be cheap.
