Yesterday our friend Gnzl I spoke of the interesting application "Tawkon" to measure the radiation emitted by our iPhones. Today, thanks to 9to5Mac , we discovered a bit more about the history of the application. And apparently, the developers of the tool tried to reach the AppStore legally, ie, following all the steps to be admitted and have to be available to all interested users.
In fact, the developers even managed to meet with members of Apple's Cupertino offices to discuss the application and to finish their development in accordance with the policies of the AppStore. But Apple finally decided to reject it (of course the application could hurt their image).
That's when the developers asked for explanations, to which Apple responded with a simple email saying "is not of interest." Hence, finally had to use the back door offered by Cydia.
