Facemood is a new application available on the AppStore, allowing us to know the mood of our friends from Facebook, through a series of algorithms. These algorithms include a wide range of variables such as the use of key words, sentence structure and punctuation before reaching a conclusion about that state of mind, which is illustrated with icons of friends, thanks to a simple interface and intuitive. Facemood also reveals that the selection of keywords used to infer the mood of a friend.
Facemood uses a variety of sources to its database of keywords (for example, Urban Dictionary), but also allows you to add them individually. The algorithm can pick up specific words that denote a certain state of mind. For example, if a friend is happy when playing football, you can associate 'football' to a sense of your choice, in this case 'excited'.
Facemood is available on the AppStore, at a price of 0.79 € and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and IPAD. IOS requires 3.0 or later.
