Pod2g just said on Twitter Greenpois0n RC5 version will jailbreak 4.2.1 iOS untethered to all devices that work in principle.
Remember that these devices are 4 iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPod Touch 3G, iPod 4G and iPad Touch (the iPhone 3G as you know the jailbreak has secured Redsn0w untethered forever and in all firmwares).
A joy to the holders of a 3G iPhone, as the latest exploits were only fourth-generation devices.
