Thunderbolt Technology Could Reach iPad 2

The latest rumors suggest that the iPad 2 may include a port Thunderbolt. Is it true? Not USB, but almost ...

Apple has already introduced Thunderbolt ports in the new MacBook Pro (Van as a shot by the way) but we are everywhere ... What's Thunderbolt?

According to Wikipedia :

Thunderbolt, formerly known by its codename Light Peak, is the name used by Intel to designate a new type of high speed connector that uses optical technology.

Is able to offer a large bandwidth, from 10 Gb / s, but could develop into the next decade to reach 100 Gb / s. A 10 Gb / s Blu-ray can be transferred in less than 30 seconds, although currently no storage device reaches that speed of writing.

It is designed to replace existing buses such as USB, FireWire and HDMI. Peak Light technology with a single fiber optic cable 50 could replace copper cables used for transmission of a single scene in 3 dimensions. Peak Light technology was shown at the Intel Developer Forum on September 23, 2009. According to Engadget, this technology was developed by Intel in collaboration with Apple Inc

The first version is made entirely of copper rather than fiber optics.

As you can see from the graph, including sprayed Thunderbolt USB 3.0 ... Though remember, this is just a rumor to be confirmed (or not) next March 2 . What little the time!

The rumors, which for now are only rumors, saying that this new technology could be implemented in the near future IOS devices (IPAD iPhone 2 and 5). Thunderbolt thus replace the current 30-pin connector, increasing the speed of data synchronization via iTunes (When do you sync via WiFi?) And allowing a higher speed through iTunes carga.sa plus a load more quickly.

Many users asking for USB ports on the iPad / iPad 2 . "Thunderbolt instead of USB? What do you think?
