Tutorial: IOS untethered jailbreak 4.2.1 (Mac)

IPhone only works on 4, iPad Touch iPod 4G.

Bluetooth is turned off until you solve some functions.

Need:

You need to have your device with 4.2.1 and jailbreak iOS done.

You can follow this tutorial to jailbreak tethered if you have not .

You also need to have the IOS SHSH 4.2b3 saved, verify that you have in Cydia (in green on top).
1.

Create a folder called Pwnage on your desktop, you need to have in it:

- Xcode (you can also find on the installation DVD of Mac OS X)
- MacPorts
- Usbmuxd
- RedSn0w 0.9.7b1
- iOS 4.2.1
- IOS 4.2b3 (it's for developers, but you can find it)

Install Xcode

Install MacPorts

4.
Terminal Opens

• sudo ports install libusb
• sudo ports install cmake
• sudo ports install pkgconfig

Extract usbmuxd

Back to Terminal and install usbmuxd:

• cd ~ / Desktop/Pwnage/usbmuxd-1.0.6
• mkdir build
• cd build
• cmake
• make
• sudo make install

6.
Disconnect and connect your USB iPhone

Install OpenSSH from Cydia

Terminal again and type:

• cd ~ / Desktop/Pwnage/usbmuxd-1.0.6/python-client /
• chmod + x tcprelay.py
• . / Tcprelay.py-t 22:2222

Open Redsn0w 0.9.7b1
Select the 4.2.1 firmware

Click Next

Select Jailbreak Monte (untether)

We ask for the ipsw 4.2b3 iOS, select it:

Connect your iPhone, turn it off and follow the steps to put it in DFU

Will get a terminal window

And that's it, now you jailbreak is untethered
