Tutorial: Get the GM 4.2 Jailbreak using Redsn0w iOS 0.9.6b2

0.9.6b2 Redsn0w can jailbreak 4.2 GM IOS so then you have a tutorial with instructions that you must follow to make the whole process:

Supported Devices:

• iPhone 4
• iPhone 3G
• iPhone 3G
• iPad
• Touch iPod 4G / 3G / 2G

Notes:

• All those who want to unlock your phone should not use this tutorial until you miss a Ultrasn0w updated version.
• Cydia does not work in IOS 4.2 (for now). You can only install programs using SSH (thanks Gnzl the list).

Materials:

• iOS 4.1 (final version) for the iPhone 4 , 3G , 3G
• GM 4.2 iOS for iPhone 4 , 3G and 3G
• iTunes 10.1 Beta 2 for Windows or Mac
• Redsn02 0.9.6b2 for Windows or Mac

Instructions:

1. Download iOS 4.2 iOS GM and 4.1 for your device.
2. Update your iPhone using iTunes iOS GM 4.2 10.1 Beta 2.
3. 0.9.6b2 and select Run Redsn0w iOS 4.1 (final version, not the beta you just installed) to perform the jailbreak.
4. Select "Install Cydia" and click "Next." We may also add some of the other options available.
5. Next is to put the iPhone in DFU mode by following the instructions on screen.
6. Redn0w sit back and let the rest of its work. Once the process is complete, the iPhone will automatically restart and have the latest firmware version with Jailbreak.

If you've followed these steps correctly, within seconds you will have your iPhone with GM iOS 4.2 jailbreak.
