Yesterday we had the opportunity to try a beta of NOVA 2 in Gameloft's new offices in Barcelona, thanks, as always, Antonio Rabanera and the truth is that we amazed by the game.
The beta allows us to play the first level of the game (12 to be the final version), starting with a small management tutorial, where we teach you to move and shoot.
A new feature that we are just starting (in addition to enhanced graphics) is the control by the gyro on the iPhone 4 that gives extra accuracy when shooting, but we must recognize that the beginning is a bit messy.
Once past the tutorial will put us squarely in the action, which will lapsing due to some animations created with the actual game engine.
Shortly after the former enemies meet "normal" appears a more complicated, which uses camouflage to move hardly be seen, all with enhanced graphics effects and very accomplished.
To remove it, this beta we had guns, machine gun, shotgun or rocket launcher, although the final version will have 12 different. In addition, we have added two special attacks, one that will allow us to freeze enemies and another that will allow us to release an album, both by spending an amount of energy we have to wait to be recharged for reuse.
As we advance in the story, will appear ships giant bipedal robots, enemies with jetpacks, flying droids, ... all in different environments, such as an area of buildings and factories, or the jungle, where they pass through a river and waterfall, where you have to make special mention of the water, looking dramatically. In the final version will have 6 different environments, including a space city, or an icy planet.
The game, like all published by Gameloft, is in Spanish, so there is no problem in following the storyline or move through the various menus, both single player and multiplayer, another improvement in this second part because we can play up to 10 people (in 1 were 4) in 5 different modes.
The game is scheduled to depart in mid-December, while campaigning for pre Christmas, so we will not have to wait much longer to play more depth to this wonderful Shotter.
