The jailbreak for 4.2 iOS could be delayed because Cydia is not compatible with this firmware, so until they get it to work properly serve no jailbreak and therefore not worth removing. The responsibility to fix bugs related Cydia Update Chpwn firmware, hopefully get to work on it very soon and when this iOS 4.2 and is resolved.
We do not know if the official firmware release will be early or be delayed until the end of the month, but everything seems to indicate that it could be next week.
