Apple has now released a new patent in which it appears it could be the merger of the MacBook Air with the iPad.
With the upcoming Mac OS X Lion, you can see that Apple is willing to make this an operating system similar to IOS. This is seen in the incorporation of gestures and the launchpad, mainly. If all this we add the appearance of the Apple patent , we can see that it all starts to add up.
Apple reports that the patent could be for a MacBook-like device that would become something of an iPad in landscape mode. Operating as a laptop, the screen would remain open at an angle with a physical keyboard under it. Operating as a tablet, the screen slides down, covering the keyboard and allowing multi-touch control directly on the screen itself.
This would be the ideal product, especially in the field of business and travelers, as they would have the advantage of having two products in one. The keyboard dock with iPad is a great accessory, but unfortunately you can not do everything you can do with a MacBook.
Dell and other brands currently have their own version of this hybrid tablet / laptop. But Apple did not, and we are sure you want to enter that market. With reports claiming that the iPad is a rival of MacBook Air in terms of productivity concerns and if we add the possibility that the new MacBook Air sales could exceed the iPad, a combination of both would be a great asset to the company and short for many Apple customers.
