Recently it was rumored that there was a possibility that Apple changed some things in MobileMe, including some services offered from now, they were free. And so it proved. Find It For My iPhone and Galleries.
The first of the two allows you to find your phone using GPS. Already there have been some cases (and I speak from personal experience) that we lose the phone somewhere or stolen and we can give him thanks to this application. Also allows us to delete the entire contents of the phone, send messages and even lock it from afar.
To set it free (those who have contracted the MobileMe package) must follow the following steps:
- Update the device to 4.2
- Go to Settings: Mail, Contacts, Calendars
- Add Account: MobileMe
- Enter our Apple (username and password for our account iTunes)
- Check the account via email
- Go to Settings> Mail, Contacts, Calendars> MobileMe
- Turn FindMyiPhone
- Pulsar allow
- Download Application Find My iPhone App Store
Apparently only compatible with the iPhone 4, the latest generation of iPod Touch and iPad, but some iPhone 3G users say that they work, so it will be a matter of taste.
Moreover, "gallery" also happens to be free, although it is unclear how much capacity we have.
