As you know, Apple just announced this morning the free support service Find My iPhone for the iPhone 4, 4 and iPod Touch users iPad, with the only requirement to be installed iOS 4.2.
This automatically leaves out of the game to which we have an older device, such as iPhone 3G, 3G, but all is not lost.
Apparently, you can activate it (this will be confirmed until it is final version 4.2) just have to discharge you from any of the supported devices with your iTunes account ID.
Steps to activate,
1 .- Make sure your iPhone is working with IOS 4.2. If you're creating a free account, first you need an iPhone 4.
2 .- Click the Settings icon and choose Mail, Contacts, Calendar.
3.-Click the Add button and select MobileMe account.
4.-Enter your Apple ID and password.
5.-Verify your account.
6.-Returns to the screen and active MobileMe Search my iPhone.
After that just download and install "Find My iPhone" from any device with IOS 4.2 does not supported, enter your Apple ID and password, previously registered and ready.
They may also consult the official website that Apple made available for any questions.
