Foxconn, the Taiwanese manufacturer of the iPhone, has confirmed that in 2012 introduced 300,000 new robots in its Chinese facilities. A story that not only increased the tension between the Chinese employees of the company, working under appalling working conditions. So, Foxconn has said that the addition of the new robots will no massive layoffs in 2012.
The aim is to increase plant productivity in a fast-paced joining Apple products, HP and Sony, among other major companies. The robots will be responsible for carrying out the complicated and dangerous tasks. In this way, we try to avoid accidents like the explosion that took place this year at the manufacturing plant that left three dead iPad.
Hopefully Foxconn keep his word and not to lay off employees.
