Some people say that Apple iPad 2 cost a kidney and unfortunately, in some cases, is as true as life itself. This is the case of a Chinese teenager of 17 who sold a kidney to buy one ...
A young Chinese man named "Zheng" had contacted through the Internet, an organization that is dedicated to the illegal organ trade to sell his kidney for a price of $ 9,000 (USD).
For that money, the young man could buy, apart from the iPad 2, an iPhone and a laptop.
"I had no money to buy a iPad 2, then an organization that is dedicated to organ trafficking sent me a message saying that if they sold a kidney could get 20.000 RMB ($ 9,000)"
The online organ trafficking is very common in China, despite repeated attempts by the Chinese government to curb the practice.
The boy, who suffered complications from surgery, was unable to conceal from her mother who had committed outrageous. The mother, frightened as could be, reported the incident to the police so far has not been able to locate the offenders.
This story is a clear sign of growing materialism in China and pull that Apple products are for those parts.
