We know that Apple is usually pretty strong political sign with your employees to avoid any leaks. And policies are no less strong with workers in the establishments of Apple, they have to sign agreements that basically say they do not talk about Apple products online.
With the following clauses, which were leaked online this week, Apple wants to ensure that its employees do not speak negatively about the company or giving rise to speculation that they ask clients any matter relating to the rumors of the day:
- Employees may have their own websites, but none of them will talk about Apple in any way.
- Forbidden to talk about rumors or speculate about them.
- Apple is based on five pillars: Honesty, Respect, Confidentiality, Community and Compliance.
Of course, employees are prohibited from commenting on Apple in any website that talks about the brand and its products (blogs participating in Tamata which is related to the company is strictly prohibited). These rules also extend to workers' social networks including Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and MySpace.
Failure to comply with one of these points can mean losing your job. Precisely, that's what happened recently to a British employee for criticizing Apple in his private Facebook page.
